How Long Will My Roof Replacement Take?

June 22nd, 2010

Most homeowners who are contemplating a roof replacement what to know, “How long should the roof installation take?” Well, the real answer is: It should take as long as it takes – to get it done right. What we try to do is get the job done in one day. Because that’s what the customer really wants and that limits the liabilities.

Let’s talk about that for a minute. The customer really wants us, and our roofing dump trucks and our equipment and our nosy compressors and our nail guns and our shingle debris and all that stuff out as quickly as possible. They want that done quickly and efficiently and get us in and out with the minimum amount of intrusion on their family and personal lives; as well as their neighbors’ too.

The other part of it is the quicker the roof is done, the less of the opportunity we have for other bad things that could happen. The wind could pick up and try to blow off a partially installed roof, or the rain could come down or animals could come and decide to find a way into the attic place while a job is in progress, if it spans over several days. So, the goal would be to get it done in one day, but the critical factor is, take the time do the job right the first time.
